Katie Baxter has battled through much adversity to beat a medical condition and return to the floor at full strength. One of the inspirational leaders for the Vikings, Baxter gives 100 percent each and every day and has the ability to be one of the top rebounders on the squad. The tallest player on the roster, she has the opportunity to see a lot of minutes in the middle and give the Vikings a defensive lift with her size and length.

2006-07 -- Freshman Season
• Appeared in eight games, all in a reserve role off the bench
• Played a season-high six minutes on two occasions; at Virginia (12/16) and at UW-Green Bay (1/18)
• Scored lone basket at Loyola (1/6)
• Grabed one rebound in four different contests
• Amassed one rebound, one steal and one assist in five minutes versus Ohio (11/17/06)
•Totaled two assists, two steals and two blocked shots

2005-06 -- Redshirt Season
• Sat out as a medical redshirt.

Hilliard Davidson H.S.
• Team MVP and Heart of a Lion Award winner as a senior
• Earned honorable mention all-league honors as a junior at Hilliard Davidson HS
• Averaged 8.0 points and 9.0 rebounds
• Shot 50 percent from the floor and 70 percent from the line
• Led the team to the district semifinals in just its third-ever appearance in district play
• OHSAA Courageous Athlete Award
• A blue chip all-star and all-Ohio all-star selection

Born June 18, 1987 in Columbus, Ohio...daughter of Thomas and Cheryl Baxter...has two sisters, Amy (her twin) and Christy...would like to become a firefighter and physician's assistant...received CSU's Athletic Academic Excellence Award in 2006...health sciences major.
