Angel Roque gives the Vikings an experienced point guard who has the ability to control the tempo of a game. She understands the Viking system and can get any player involved on the offensive end of the floor. In addition, she gives the Vikings a spark on defense by consistently supplying ball pressure out front and on the perimeter.
2007-08 - sophomore Season
Started all 33 games at point guard, setting the defensive tone with her consistent ball pressure out front.
Averaged 5.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 29.4 minutes.
Ranked 14th in the Horizon League in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.10).
Shot .810 (34-42) from the free throw line to rank third on the team.
Hit two three-pointers for six points at Stanford in NCAA Championship first round contest (3/22).
Scored 13 points with four assists at UIC (3/6).
Played all 40 minutes at Wright State (2/14).
Went 6-for-6 at the free throw line in the final minutes against Milwaukee (2/9) to help ice the game.
