An accomplished player at the high school level, Kourtney Volkmer will have to come in and adjust to the speed and flow of the collegiate game to earn immediate playing time. Since the Vikings are loaded with upperclassmen at outside hitter, Volkmer could get opportunities to showcase her skills on the right side to see if that is a better fit for her and the team. She is a bit raw in terms of ball control, but does have the ability to terminate points with her smooth and controlled swing.
